Children's Workshop makes natural picture frames

The High Plains Environmental Center is 275 acres with two reservoirs, wetlands, and prairie grassland.
Exhibits on the region's natural and built environments, history, and sustainable living.  An indoor Children's Discovery Area.  A reference library for citizens, student, developers, government officials and anyone interested in the environment and sustainable living.  Outdoor demonstration areas on backyard wildlife habitat, composting, water-wise gardening & High Plains living. A self-guided nature trail featuring interpretive signs & wildlife viewing areas.
Opportunities to participate in habitat restoration, research projects and environmental studies.
